In 2025, the law firm of Egan, Flanagan, and Cohen will renew its ten-week Summer Associate program, which runs from May 28, 2025 until August 1, 2025. The Firm encourages both 2-L and 1-L law students to apply. Priority is given to law student applicants who can show a demonstrated interest in living and practicing law in Western Massachusetts.
In past years, EFC has taken up to five summer associates. This year’s class size will depend on the quality of the applicants, who may apply for either a summer position in the litigation department or transactional department. Litigation Summer Associates will be exposed to the courtroom, depositions, mediations, discovery, and drafting motions and pleadings. Alternatively, transactional Summer Associates will assist with real estate, corporate law, and estate planning and administration.
All applicants should submit a cover letter explaining their ties to and the reasons why they wish to practice law in Western Massachusetts, along with their preference of litigation or transactional law. Enclosures to the cover letter should include a resume, transcript (unofficial is acceptable), and references. The applications materials may be sent to Faith A. Hoynoski at fah@efclaw.com before the application period closes on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
