On April 3, 2025, the Convention Center Carpark opened its doors for public parking on the Corner of Harrison Avenue and Dwight Street in downtown Springfield, Mass. The parking facility is immediately across from the MassMutual Center as well as local full-service law firm, Egan, Flanagan and Cohen, P.C., which is located on 67 Market Street.
The new facility is a large upgrade from the old garage, which was demolished in 2023. The Convention Center Carpark is over 350,000 square feet, spans five floors, and holds over 800 parking spaces and Electric Vehicle (EV) spaces. It has entrances on Dwight Street and Harrison Avenue, and a pedestrian entrance on Bruce Landon Way.
“This is a tremendous amenity to be able to offer to our clients and staff safe parking immediately next door to our building” said Michael G. McDonough, the managing partner of Egan, Flanagan and Cohen.
He noted that EFC’s window offices on the east side of the building look directly out at the new structure.
“We applaud the construction crews who have worked hard to build this impressive facility, and we welcome the Convention Center Carpark to our neighborhood” added fellow EFC partner, Lauren F. Olanoff.
Egan, Flanagan and Cohen validates parking for all of its clients when they use the Convention Center Carpark or when they park across the street at the TD Bank parking lot, which also has entrances on Harrison Avenue and Dwight Street.
The new Convention Center Carpark will feature retail spaces for food and drink establishments on the first floor. That section of the facility is still under construction and believed to be opened this summer.
